Google form to Request Memorandum of Understanding
Hello fellow child advocate!
Our students’ care and safety is of top priority to Brownwood ISD, and with the recent addition of House Bill 3, it is more important than ever to have a clear process and understanding as to when adults have access to students in our care, on our property, during school hours. Recent changes to our school district have significantly increased our intentional precautions regarding student safety, including adding cameras at every location that houses students, adding the new Raptor System, and employing safety professionals at every campus.
Mental Health and social and emotional support are also priorities for our district, as evidenced by our detailed and award-winning Counseling and Mental Health Program. Services provided on this campus are asked to collaborate with our team to ensure that we are supporting the whole child to the greatest extent possible. Please find below the link to steps to request a Memorandum of Understanding, and coordinate carefully with our school counselors.
We also invite Foster Care Providers to participate in our Foster Care Consortium. We are hopeful to build full wrap-around support to all of the students we serve.
Please be aware that legal parents and guardians are identified by name in our system at the time of enrollment. Therefore, we must have documentation as to how each adult not identified in registration is connected to the child we serve.
We are not, at this time, able to house for profit entities, or private practice providers, due to space limitations.
Thank you for your understanding and your cooperation.
