SWEC is owned and operated by Michelle McNamara and was started to fill the need for a quality training program in northern Colorado. Michelle specializes in eventing and dressage, but believes the partnership and confidence of horse and rider has no discipline.
When it comes to the program, there is nothing like it in northern Colorado. We're not talking just full care here, we incorporate a full program to ensure the health and success of every horse and rider pair.
We start with nutrition. Horses are given a nutritional analysis based on previous health, current condition and anticipated work in SWECs program so their diet is perfected to include the right amount of high quality hay and alfalfa, house grain (Hallway FibreEnergy), Stamm30 and necessary supplements. Additional house grains are available for purchase to supplement a horses diet as needed, including Hallway Luminence and Handimash. Monthly psyillium is provided for gut health and we provide SimplyFly in the summer to all horses to keep bugs at a minimum. Owner provided oral or topical medications, IM shots and supplements are distributed as needed (no baggies required). We work with our house vet, farrier, chiropractor and rolfer to navigate the perfect set up to meet your horses physical needs. Blankets, fly protection and just general care are provided at an individual basis to ensure nothing is missed in the care of each horse and their needs. Whatever those needs may be, we will work diligently to ensure your horse never lacks for anything and is given the best opportunity to feel their best, so they can perform at their best.
Training is included in all boarding packages to ensure everyone is able to grow and achieve the best relationship with their horse. Training packages start at two lessons a week up through full training (five days a week). Training is owner guided and is tailored to ensure you meet your goals with your horse. Whether you want to enjoy the local show circuits, go CCI**, relax on the trail, or enjoy grooming your horse while ground tied, everyone deserves to enjoy the best relationship with their horse.
