My mission at BDHS is teaching students in the cross-categorical setting with a strong passion for the transitioning of students between high school and their post-secondary options. Students should graduate from BDHS with the growth mindset to be a passionate learner, creative thinker, and an innovative leader.   Planning for success begins now!

During my time away from school I enjoy outdoor sports such as biking, kayaking, traveling the United States, and reading newspapers with coffee.  My undergraduate degree is from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in social studies education and I hold a  MA in special education from Cardinal Stritch University.   Brown Deer has been my "home" since 1999.  I have prior teaching experience with the Milwaukee Public Schools and the Milwaukee Area Technical College, where I taught as an adjunct instructor for twenty years. Volunteer activities outside of school include the Education Foundation of Brown Deer, and the Boy Scouts.

I am encouraging students and their families to consider taking time for college and career pathway activities. Please contact me for additional conversations regarding strategies to develop post-high school plans.
