About me
My name is David Lucre’ and I will be the STEM/Makerspace teacher. I am a graduate of Beloit College. I earned a BA in Psychology as well as a Masters degree in Education.
This will be my 33rd year in education. My previous 32 years, I am proud to say, have all been here in Brown Deer in which I was a classroom teacher and Dean of students at the Middle School. I have taught grades 2nd-6th. I have also coached in Brown Deer for the past 31 years at both the middle and high school level. The sports that I have had the privilege of coaching are both boys and girls middle school basketball, varsity softball, varsity baseball, JV and varsity football and girls high school basketball.
I enjoy reading books by my favorite author John Gisham. Tennis is my favorite sport to play. I love watching my teams, Cowboys, Cornhuskers and The Yankees on TV. I have three children and have been married for 31 years. My wife and I walk our dog Lance every morning, no matter what the weather is, her choice not mine. Some interesting facts about me are that I know sign language and I am the nephew of a famous civil rights activist.
I am very grateful for the opportunity to serve the Brown Deer community. I look forward to establishing new connections as well as reconnecting with families from the past. As I know that the success of our students is dependent on great teamwork.
