Zach Hunsucker

I am a third-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Mathematics at Brown University, advised by Benoît Pausader.

This semester, I am lecturing for Math 90 (Single-variable calculus).

Broadly, I am interested in the mathematical analysis of PDE arising in physics. Recently, I have been studying stability problems for kinetic and fluid models near singular equilibria. In the past, I have worked on rigorous justifications of mean field approximations and the well-posedness theory of quasilinear dispersive equations, especially those arising from geometric problems.

I completed my undergraduate degrees in mathematics and in physics at MIT.
