History

Re-established in 2016 by a small group of students, SHPE @Brown has been committed to fostering a sense of familia and community for any STEM, not just engineering, students at Brown university and beyond. Since then we have grown and continue to expand today. We help our students thrive academically, professional, and personally by hosting community events, professional development workshops, gathering opportunities for our members, and more.

Mission

Our chapter aims to provide community through informal and professional development events. To provide a space of honesty and improvement to learn and grow. To give our members access to opportunities and resources to prepare for academic and professional success. Our familia aims to provide a hint of sazon to the environment around us.
