Roles and Responsibilities

Reunion Activities Committee
The Reunion Lead(s) and/or Class President(s) will assist in recruiting, organizing, and leading the Reunion Activities Committee (RAC). They will organize the committee and its work and keep the RAC members on track to meet decision-making deadlines related to Reunion Weekend planning and pre-reunion engagement. The Reunion Leads and/or Class Presidents will serve as the primary contacts with the Event and Engagement Liaisons.

Reunion Lead(s) Responsibilities:

• Attending key planning meetings throughout the year with your Reunion staff liaisons

• Gathering input from the broader Reunion Activities Committee by arranging meetings, facilitating discussions, and actively requesting feedback via Zoom and/or email.

• Guide the design of the event details for the Saturday evening Class event

• Determining the utilization of the Class treasury and deciding whether to underwrite Reunion Class expenses

• Plan and facilitate the Reunion Activities Committee in pre-Reunion Weekend class engagement strategies (utilizing your pre-Reunion Engagement Guide)

• Attend Reunion Weekend

Reunion Activities Committee Responsibilities:

• Serve as key contributors to pre-reunion class engagement

• Contact friends and classmates to promote Reunion attendance and excitement

• Attend Reunion Weekend

Reunion Event Liaison 

The Event Liaison will play an integral role in the Brown Reunion Weekend planning process. This position will take the lead in helping guide the committee through the various Reunion Weekend event planning elements such as:

Assist the committee in selecting a menu for Saturday evening

Keep track of Reunion Expenses and budgeting 

Manage Class registration form set-up

Other event planning logistics

This staff member will offer event expertise and advice, track all Reunion Weekend event planning decisions, and keep volunteers informed of important deadlines related to Reunion Weekend event planning.

The Class Engagement Liaison will guide the RAC on pre-Reunion class engagement efforts.

The Engagement Liaison will work in conjunction with the Event Liaison to communicate reunion-related updates and ensure a successful Reunion year.
