I'm Jordan and I use he/him/his pronouns. I've been at Brown for the last three years as a Tamarkin Assistant Professor and just started this year in my new role as a Lecture in the Math Department. I received my Ph.D. from the University of Alberta in 2018. The University of Alberta is in my hometown: Edmonton, Canada. It's also where I picked up my love for running---especially in cold temperatures!
My research interests lie in Algebraic Geometry and certain applications to theoretical physics. Since starting my position at Brown, I've also gained an interest in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL).
I'm excited to teach you linear algebra this semester, and I hope you enjoy your time in this course.
Hi, I'm Zhenghao and I use he/him/his pronouns. I'm a third-year grad student in the math department. I'm working on hyperbolic geometry and hyperbolic 3-manifolds right now and I also have interests in other low-dimensional topology problems. Outside of my research, I love playing tennis and soccer and watching sports. Looking forward to working with you this fall, and I hope you enjoy MATH 0520!
Hi! I'm Changjie (CHANG-gee, he/him/his). I'm a math grad student mainly working on Teichm\"uller theory. To be more precise, I'm interested in the geometry of the deformation space of Riemann/hyperbolic surfaces, and things related. I love swimming and skiing, and ping pong is probably the sport I'm best at. I also love traveling a lot to new places worldwide. Besides all of those, I can't love the Super Mario games more, although Luigi and Yoshi are my favorite over Mario. Looking forward to seeing you guys in this brand new semester!
I'm Kyle (they/them). I'm a fifth-year grad student in the Brown math department. Math is my greatest hobby, and themes of my research include the study of abstract spaces and their associated structures (homotopy theory) and a formal approach to the relationships between disparate collections of mathematical objects (higher category theory). Outside of mathematics, my hobbies include spending time outdoors, photography, and fiddle playing.
