I started my academic studies at RWTH Aachen university in Germany, where I obtained my Bachelor's and Master's degree. In my Master studies I also did an exchange semester at Aalto University in Espoo, Finland. I continued with PhD studies under the supervision of Martin Dindoš at University of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom, before picking up my current position at Brown university in Providence, United States.
I very much enjoy the two major aspects of academic life: Research and Teaching. Mathematics can be scary, intimidating, and frustrating, but it can equally be fascinating, surprising, and beautiful. Exploring this rich landscape as researcher or helping others to true insight and understanding as teacher is really rewarding for me. Luckily, as Assistant Professor at Brown I am able to pursue both research and teaching.
