Intercollege Japanese Language Table
Fall 2025-Spring 2026
In 2020, we were all plunged into an unprecedented pandemic and a forced disconnect from our friends, families and peers. Under the circumstances, some Japanese teachers in the US sought a way to reconnect with students. In spring 2021, the Intercollege Japanese Language Table was conceived and established. Using Japanese as the common language, students from across the US got together to discuss various topics such as social issues, music, movies and food culture, etc. Teachers supporting this Intercollege Japanese Language Table wished to provide a place where students can exchange their opinions, experience cross-cultural communication and learn different ideas beyond their own nationality, religion, ethnicity, and Japanese proficiencies. Since fall 2022, students from Knox English Network (Tokyo, Japan) have joined us. In fall 2024, students from Showa Boston Institute joined us. We all look forward to meeting you!
