In 2020, we were all plunged into an unprecedented pandemic and a forced disconnect from our friends, families and peers. Under the circumstances, some Japanese teachers in the US sought a way to reconnect with students. In spring 2021, the Inter-college conversation table was conceived and established. Using Japanese as the common language, students from across the US got together to discuss various topics such as social issues, music, movies and food culture, etc. Teachers supporting this Inter-College Conversation table wished to provide a place where students can exchange their opinions, experience cross-cultural communication and learn different ideas beyond their own nationality, religion, ethnicity, and Japanese proficiencies. From fall 2021, students from Keio University (Tokyo, Japan) are joining us. We all look forward to meeting you!
