March 2022 - Members of our systems-perspective panel have reviewed our interview guides and prioritized our study's measures. Members of our lived experience-perspective panel have reviewed our recruitment materials including the introductory letter, FAQ, and consent form.
June 2022 - Members of our systems-perspective panel have shared their hypotheses for how different outcome measures relate to each other. They also contributed ideas for developing future implementation articles. Members of our lived experience-perspective panel have shared their ideas for contacting clients for follow-up interviews.
Sept 2022 - Members of our systems-perspective panel have contributed to the planning of future program site visits. Members of our lived experience-perspective panel discussed options that can better personalize the MOW experience for future clients.
Dec 2022 - Members of our systems-perspective panel helped us rank the activities we will seek to accomplish during our 2023 site visit schedule. Members of our lived experience-perspective panel suggested questions we should ask leadership, operations staff and meals on wheels drivers and during our 2023 site visits.
March 2023 - Members of our systems-perspective panel reviewed the qualitative codebook being developed and discussed the emerging themes from our client interviews. Members of our lived experience-perspective panel attended a guest lecture by the Senior Director of Nutrition Strategy at Meals on Wheels America and explored how clients can advocate for more choices in their menu options.
June 2023 - Both panels reviewed and reflected on the information being collected during our first round of site visits.
Sept 2023 - Members of our systems-perspective panel reviewed conference abstracts and helped prioritize upcoming publications. Members of our lived experience-perspective panel reviewed the draft questions being prepared for a new series of client and caregiver interviews.
Dec 2023 - Members of our systems-perspective panel reviewed the draft questions being prepared for a new series of client and caregiver interviews. Members of our lived experience-perspective panel self-reflected on their experiences on the panel to-date and shared their personal preferences on the language that research teams use to describe their engagement.
March 2024 - Members of our systems-perspective panel helped us develop a new plan to monitor the variation in driver interactions with meal recipients across the Meals on Wheels programs involved in the clinical trial. Members of our lived experience-perspective panel shared their feedback on new survey questions that would ask about the quantity and quality of conversations that meal recipients had with their delivery drivers.
June 2024 - Both of our panels were engaged in a discussion of the different practices MOW programs commonly use to meet their Federal mandates. Panelists were then invited to formally share their feedback on potential “best practices” in an online survey.
Sept 2024 - We debriefed both of our panels on the results of the June 2024 survey and reflected on the observed differences across different stakeholder groups. We also initiated a discussion of how MOW programs can be responsive to participant meal preferences. Lastly, we share a public relations video recently released by MOWA and collected feedback on their initial reactions.
Dec 2024 - Both panels reviewed a draft publications plan and discussed their ideas for how the results of the study should be communicated to diverse audiences.
March 2025 - Members of our systems-perspective panel met with the Health Economist on the research team to give feedback on a survey being developed to understand the variation in programs’ costs for providing meals. Members of our lived experience-perspective panel met with the frozen meals coordinator from Meals on Wheels America to learn more about the intervention meals and delivery process.
