Con-GRA provides full financial support to ensure graduate students can participate regardless of location or financial constraints.Â
All selected participants receive:
Zone-Based Fellowship Structure:
Zone 1 (Greater Boston region): $100 travel fellowship
Zone 2 (Northeast corridor, <500 miles): $400 total fellowship ($200 travel + $200 lodging)
Zone 3 (Mid-distance regions, 500-1500 miles): $500 total fellowship ($300 travel + $200 lodging)
Zone 4 (Long-distance regions, >1500 miles): $600 total fellowship ($400 travel + $200 lodging)
Conference-Provided Support: All meals (light breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and refreshment breaks) are furnished directly by the Saxena Center.
Participant Arrangements: Conference attendees are responsible for booking transportation to Providence (all zones) and accommodation for two nights (Zones 2, 3, and 4). Fellowship disbursements are processed following the conference completion, independent of actual expenditures incurred.
Zone Assignment Methodology: Geographic fellowship zones are systematically determined based on institutional location coordinates using the U.S. Department of Education's Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS).
