Congratulations on being invited to interview for a position at Brown University Health/Hasbro Children’s! Thank you for your interest in our program, and we look forward to getting to know you. In anticipation of your virtual visit, we want to provide you with as much information in advance so that we can keep the interview day as concise as possible and minimize Zoom fatigue :). Please review the material at your leisure before your interview day.
What will the interview day look like?
Your interview itinerary will be published on Thalamus. You will receive an email once it has been published. Below are examples of what your day will look like: 2025-Interview Day Samples
The interview day will include breaks throughout, allowing you to relax and take a breath. We did this intentionally so that you are not on screen all day. During the case conference, you should feel free to turn off your camera.
Outside of the interview day, there will also be a social Q&A “Virtual Happy Hour” with our residents (usually Wednesdays from 7pm-8pm EST) and chief Q&A (usually Fridays 10am-10:30am EST) that will be casual and intended to be an opportunity for you to ask questions in a more relaxed setting. These are not required, and you can feel free to come in and out as you please.
What if I have any technical difficulties on the interview day?
#1. Don’t panic! Virtual interviewing is still sort of a new realm, and these things happen! Our interviewers understand (and some have even interviewed virtually themselves!)
#2. Should you have any technical difficulties, don’t hesitate to get in touch with our Program Manager, Dennisse Reyes (cell: 401-413-0453; office: 401-444-6072).
