The Department of Mathematics at Brown University is located at Kassar House, 151 Thayer St, Providence. A map of the campus can be found on the last page of this document.
If you are arriving by train, the Providence station is a 20-minute walk away from Brown. Buses are also available and tickets can be bought by pre-loading credit on the RIPTA WAVE app.
If you are arriving by car, here are some parking options near the math department:
There is typically free street parking near or immediately east of the intersection of George St and Governor St
On weekends, you may also find free street parking around the intersection of George St and Hope St.
There is also a paid parking garage at the intersection of Thayer St and Power St, but this should not be necessary.
Besides Brown University, other popular places to visit in Providence include: RISD Museum, the Providence Athenaeum, Roger Williams Park Zoo, and the Rhode Island State House.
