Watch up to minute 16 (vCarve Import)
Export an .stl file for Onshape or other 3 Diminesional design software to a flash drive
On the left side of the widow
Job Size Width (x): Short side of CNC rectangle Base [up to 4 feet]
Job Size Height (y):(Long side of CNC rectangle Base [up to 8 feet]
Material (z): Thickness of your material
[The following may not need to be changed]
XY Datum Position: Usually lower left
Modeling Resolution: Usually Fastest is sufficient
Appearance: Pick your material from the pull down menu
[Once finished]
Left Click on OK when complete
Located in lower left hand of the window
Select the .stl file you exported.
Left click on the side of the part where you want to machine the part
Rotate you part to get it in the same direction as the red wire frame base
The part does not have to fit in the red wire frame YET
(Note the changes below orientation changed from top to front and rotated 90 degrees)
Left click on "Center Model" This should move your part to the center of the red wire frame.
[Once the model fits into the red square left click "Position and Import"]
Select the depth you want to machine you part.
If you are machining all of you part from one direction, move the scroll to the very bottom.
(Note: VCarve has updated so the "Bottom" button is no longer there, move the scroll to the very bottom instead)
Once you have moved the scroll to the bottom press "Import"
Final part to be modeled is displayed
