Brophy Essential Assistance Support Team
What is the BEAST program?
The BEAST Program allows Brophy students to work an on campus job in exchange for credit that can be used for tuition, athletics fees, club fees, or immersion trip fees. The program is open to all students, but spots are limited and filled on a first come, first served basis. Only jobs posted to this website are eligible for BEAST credits.
______
What are the goals of the BEAST Program?
Provide students with on-campus work opportunities to earn credits that can be used toward any charges that run through your Business Account, which include tuition, immersion trips, athletic/club fees, AP exams, AVLI or Rio Salado classes, summer school, etc.
Open opportunities for student participants to learn life and career skills with the hope of applying this to college and other related experiences.
Motivate more students to be of greater service to the school community.
______
How does the BEAST Program work?
Students will be able to find available jobs via this website, using the tabs on the left hand menu.
Students can use the online forms found on this website to formally express their interest in a job. They will then be contacted by the job or department supervisor to either set a work schedule, an interview, or be informed if the job is no longer available (although we do our best to remove a posting on the website as soon as a job position is filled!).
For non-TA jobs, students will earn an hourly wage (minimum $15/hour). Hours worked will be tallied each month, and a corresponding credit will be applied to the family’s Business Account monthly as hours are worked.
For Teaching Assistant (TA) jobs, a flat rate credit of $750 will be issued to the family’s Business Account upon satisfactory completion of the work. Students may only sign up for a TA job if they have FLEX period and if there is a TA position available during that FLEX period, unless they sign up for a before/after school TA position.
Credits on Business Accounts can be used toward tuition, immersion trips, athletics fees, and any other charges that run through it (dance tickets, AIA athletic events, and Varsity Shop purchases are NOT processed through Business Accounts).
Students receiving tuition assistance will receive first priority to sign up for all available positions.
