The Brophy/Xavier Speech and Debate Team has a long history as one of Arizona's most competitive teams. Speech and Debate itself is an AIA sanctioned activity comprised of competitive public speaking across sixteen different events. Students involved in the activity automatically gain membership to the National Speech and Debate Association upon competition. That, plus the skills involved in the activity, give students a comparative advantage in their future contributions to colleges and careers. 

Those you have participated in the program have gone on to be writers for major newspapers, staffers for senators, teachers overseas, and so much more. In total, Speech & Debate is the sum of its impact: teaching you to find pride in your voice.
