This is my 20th year of teaching in Brookville and my 22nd year of teaching overall. I earned both my B.A. and M.Ed. from Ohio University (go Bobcats!). My Bachelor's degree is in History and I specialized in World History. My M.Ed. is in Middle Childhood Education. I started my Brookville career teaching 7th & 8th grade Social Studies & Language Arts, then taught 6th grade Social Studies for 9 years, and now teach 7th Grade Social Studies again.
My passions include my family, reading, history, travel, and (of course) teaching.
I have traveled to many U.S. states, Italy, England, Ireland, France, Austria, Germany, Spain, and Australia. I enjoy bringing these experiences into the classroom and sharing with the students what I have learned from and about these different cultures.
My husband Bryan and I have two sons, a 10th grader and a 7th grader. My boys keep me very busy and bring me so much joy!
The summer of 2025, I led my first group of Brookville students and families on a trip to London, Paris, and Rome. We had an amazing adventure!
