Hello! My name is Mrs. Dobberstein and I am SOOOO excited to be the Elementary Library Media Specialist at Brookville Elementary. It is bittersweet because I spent the past 19 years teaching. However, I can't wait to bring my classroom experience into the library and incorporate my love of creating, the environment, STEM, and of course reading. I received my degree in Early Childhood Education from Miami University in 2003 and I graduated from Miami University's Dragonfly Program with a Masters in the Art of Teaching Biological Science in 2012. I have been a Dayton STEM Fellow for the past 7 years and most recently a Camp Invention Director. I am very much looking forward to getting to know ALL the students during their time here at Brookville Elementary.
Cleveland is where I grew up and I enjoy cheering for the Browns (my favorite Cleveland team), Guardians, and Cavs! Reading is one of my favorite hobbies as well as shopping. I also enjoy playing board games with my family and friends. I make mistakes and that is OK because I know that when I make mistakes, I am growing my brain. I love learning and serving others.
