Don't we all learn better when we work with our hands? Hands-on activities are proven to boost the depth of learning, promote creativity, strengthen fine motor skills, and increase engagement. Our hands-on activities are open-ended, where there is no right answer. We encourage students to be innovative and use the engineering design process to create their own outcomes.
What are some examples? Using Legos or other tools to model a concept, walking through a science experiment, cooking to see reactions in real time, taking a nature walk to explore our local climate, and so many more.
Want a sneak peek? Here is an example of the curriculum guide that is included with every activity:
You'll have access to the curriculum guides in advance, so you will feel like an expert once your trip comes.
All activities are tied to state-standards, with an emphasis on MAP tested strands.
All of the prep is done for you. Just walk in and teach!
Hands-on activities practice 21st century skills. Students with strong 21st century skills are well-rounded and ready to take on their future.
The activity steps are clear and concise. Focus on fun, not making sense of a confusing guide!
