Ms. Williamson is a local to the area, having attended Killingly High School, UCONN, and Sacred Heart (at the Griswold Campus). She has been working in schools since 2011. She began her career as a middle school girl's soccer and basketball coach while still in undergraduate school. It was her experience there which spurred her to continue on with school and get her teaching certification and eventual Master's degree in Education.

Ms. Williamson has worked in many schools in the area including Eastford, Norwich, Pomfret, Putnam, Vernon, and Killingly. Most recently, Ms. W was working as a 4th grade teacher for the last 5 years in Killingly. She made the move to Brooklyn to explore teaching middle school again and return to one of her favorite subjects, science. She is having a blast learning the OpenSciEd curriculum and getting to know the students and staff at Brooklyn Middle School.

Ms. Williamson lives with her wife, 2 dogs, and 4 cats. She is an avid fan of Star Wars, Pokemon, video games, Lord of the Rings, and My Hero Academia. She enjoys reading, playing Dungeons and Dragons, and watching movies in her spare time.
