This course focuses on plant and crop science, soils, entomology, horticulture, and forestry with additional instruction in agricultural mechanics, career development, leadership and supervised agricultural experience.

Students will develop a basic understanding of the horticulture industry including plan structures, propagation techniques, growth patterns, and identification. This course serves an an entry level class for Greenhouse Operations and Management.
1st Block
This course deals primarily with oxy-acetylene, electric arc and MIG. Students will learn these types of welding and build projects using wood and/or metal and must more. (SAE required)
4th Block
Production of greenhouse crops will be used to demonstrate basic greenhouse procedures. Plants are started from cutting, seeds, grafts or layering. Students will manage their own crop as a class project. (SAE required)
1st Block
Students will study animal production, management, marketing, nutrition, breeding, production records, selection, animal health, waste management, and biotechnology.

Students will study conservation and improvement of natural resources involving restoring and conserving Missouri wildlife. Utilizing indoor/outdoor classrooms, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement plans for various wildlife and plants that provide food and cover.

Ag Communications is a diverse field that encompasses many careers and communication settings. Students will gain expertise in writing, editing, public relations, marketing, advertising, and broadcasting. Requirements for this course include compiling a portfolio including a resume, cover letter, job application, scholarship applications, and other written and technologically designed works.

This course explains economic principles, financial management, personal development, proper preparation for a sale along with utilizing promotional tools and entrepreneurial skills. Students will develop business plans and strategize how to implement them in a timely and cost effective manner.
