Program Description

The Brookfield Public Schools Preschool Program is an integrated program educating children with special needs as well as their peers. The preschool program is located at Center Elementary School and offers a comprehensive play and language based approach to learning. It is designed to provide developmentally appropriate experiences for children ages three to four years old in the areas of cognitive, communication, social/emotional, motor and daily life skills development.

Our program for peers consists of a morning or an afternoon session, depending on the child’s age.

  • Three (3) year old peers will attend on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:45 - 11:15 AM.

  • Four (4) year old peers will attend on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 12:45 - 3:15 PM.

For students who receive special education intervention, program recommendations are made specific to the needs of each individual child and are determined through the Planning and Placement Team process.
