  • Snack- We will be having snack every day. Please separate snacks from lunch items so there is no confusion for your child. Please send in healthy snacks such as fruit, vegetables, granola bars, etc. If your child requires a spoon or fork, please try to remember to send them in. Please consider sending your child in with a water bottle daily. If you do choose to do so, please make sure that it is a sealable water bottle that your child can close independently.
  • Birthdays- HHES birthday celebrations have had some changes beginning with the 2019 school year. Please understand that cakes, cookies, cupcakes, sweet treats, balloons, etc., and/or juice will no longer be part of birthday celebrations at school. At the beginning of the school year, I will distribute a checklist of celebration choices. You and your child will be asked to select one of the celebrations from the checklist. As your child’s birthday approaches, it will be noted from your selection at the beginning of the year how he/she would like to be celebrated. The office will also be providing your child with a HHES PAWS bracelet to celebrate your child’s special day.
  • Toys and Electronics- Please keep all toys, trading cards, stuffed animals, electronics, and non-school items at home.
  • Clothing- Please label lunchboxes, coats, jackets, hats, mittens, etc. with your child's first and last name.
  • Recess- We will continue to go out to recess, even when the weather gets colder. Indoor recess is only called if it is raining or when the wind-chill is 20 degrees or below. Please make sure your child is dressed appropriate for all weather situations. Only children wearing boots and snow pants may play in the snow.
