Meet the Teachers
Kyle Warren
My name is Kyle Warren and this is my eighth year teaching Computer/STEM class at Brookfield Academy. Brookfield Academy has been a huge part of my life since I went here for elementary school. I worked here as an associate teacher in child care and as a summer camp counselor. I am passionate about computer technology and hope to pass on my knowledge and passion to the students.

Patti Lareau
Ms. Patti joined Brookfield Academy in 2024 as a STEAM teacher. For the past 32 years she has worked as an elementary educator for Lake Orion Community Schools. Ms Patti loves teaching! She earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Central Michigan University and holds a Masters Degree in Library and Information Science from Wayne State University. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, traveling, trying new restaurants, collecting rocks and fossils, and gardening.
Jim Cronk
Mr. Jim has been a teacher at Brookfield Academy for over 25 years. He recently moved into the role of Technology Director for the four campuses. Mr. Jim started in the after-school program, worked as a classroom assistant in the Pre-Primary/Kindergarten classroom, taught computers, and has been the Assistant Principal at the Troy Campus. He attended Oakland University and has his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. He also has his Montessori certification. Additionally, Mr. Jim has been coordinating the annual 5th grade trip to Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama for the past 23 years.
