The way it works:
If you click on the waymarks, you will find links to information on the buildings and spaces. In some cases there are multiple links.
On Android, you'll need to slide the tab up from the bottom to see the links. On iOS, the links don't work, so they are included below.
Many of the links direct you to the fabulous resource of New Oxford Architecture, a blog by Tim Brindley (to whom, many thanks).
The route is broken down into segments with some shortcuts shown (in light blue) if you don't want to do the whole thing.
The full route is a little over 6km so should take an hour and twenty minutes, if you don't get side-tracked into a coffee shop or pub, but then, that's partly the point.
Technical note on Google Earth for iOS: the file will appear as unsupported. Just need to press '...' (upper right) and then 'Open in' and select Google Earth.
