If you are a PhD/EdD student, or are thinking of becoming one, or if you are an early career researcher or new to research in learning and teaching in higher education, please join our supportive community.
We host monthly events designed to give our postgraduate students and new/early career researchers the chance to share their struggles, celebrate their successes, and generally support one another.
To join, please subscribe to receive centre updates via our jiscmail
For more information, or if you would like to book a slot to discuss your research-in-progress at one of these sessions, please contact Dr Helen Aveyard and Dr Hossein Sadeghi-Movahed, who lead this group haveyard@brookes.ac.uk or h.sadeghi-movahed@brookes.ac.uk (see About Us)
I am a Senior Lecturer in the School of Architecture at Oxford Brookes University. I recently earned my Doctorate in Education, with a focus on feedback for dyslexic students. I have ensured that my research findings shape my practice and have inspired colleagues to modify how they provide feedback to students, both generally and specifically to those with learning difficulties. My research interests focus on Neurodivergent HE students, as well as on a participatory research approach and visual methodology.
Associate Professor Research Education, Programme Director for the Professional Doctorate in Nursing and Midwifery and MSc in Applied Health Research.
