ONEFaR
Oxford Network of European Fatherhood Researchers
The Oxford Network of European Fatherhood Researchers (ONEFaR) comprises a group of academics whose interests and expertise place experiences of fatherhood as a central focus.
The Network was convened by Professor Tina Miller following a British Academy funded dissemination event held at Oxford Brookes University in 2011. It comprises academics who were invited to contribute to this dissemination event and its members are based in the UK, Denmark, Italy and Sweden, and has been supported by a research grant from the Swedish Riksbankens Jubileumsfond Foundation.
'Being a Refugee and a Dad' Dissemination Event
Monday 7 March 2022, 10.00am-12.00pm (Danish time)
This event will present the findings from 3 research studies undertaken in Denmark, Sweden and the UK which have explored men's experiences of Syrian refugee fatherhood.
Join the event online or in person at Roskilde Universitet, Denmark.
Members have individually and collectively produced research which has informed policy, professionals, international organisations and user groups and this remains a continued objective of their research. In particular, the European composition of the Network and their expertise in qualitative, longitudinal qualitative and quantitative methods provide contrasting perspectives from which to examine change and continuities in Fatherhood and fathering experiences. The network is committed to taking a broad and inclusive approach through its research agendas with the aim of producing collaborative research findings with relevance to a wide range of audiences.
The Network membership is currently limited to the existing members, but activities and events which may be of interest to a wider audience will be publicised on this website and a mailing list which individuals can join will ensure you are kept informed.
