Getting Started in Moodle

What is Moodle?

Moodle is our web based virtual learning environment (VLE). This delivers your course materials and other programme and module related activities.

You might be asked to submit assignments, access programme guides or lecture handouts, or use discussion forums to take part in group work. Your tutor will tell you what is expected of you in Moodle.

What if I can't see my courses in Moodle?

This could be for a variety of reasons:

• your course might not have been released yet. 

• you might have hidden it from view.  You can unhide it by go to the Course Overview list on your Dashboard and selecting Hidden from the drop down menu. You will see the list of all the courses that are hidden.  Click on the three dots below the course that you want to unhide and select show this course.

If you feel that you are unable to see a course that should be available to you then please contact your module leader.
