The School of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics (ECM) at Oxford Brookes is a friendly and close-knit community of staff and students. Wheatley Campus
Set in 80 acres of Oxfordshire parkland, Wheatley campus is home to the School of ECM. Located just a off the M40 and only seven miles from Oxford city centre, the campus is linked with a regular bus service to central Oxford and the train station. There is also ample parking available on site.
The campus is equipped with excellent learning and teaching facilities, including state-of-the-art computer labs, a dedicated library and a gym and student lounge.
MSc in Data Analytics for Government
Our MSc programme is designed to provide you with specialist skills and knowledge central to the conduct of professional statistical work within government. We aim to strengthen your professional knowledge so that you can continue to develop your career in data analysis.

All modules are available on campus, each taught in one two-hour block per week (10-credit module), over 12 weeks during the usual University calendar. Where possible, we will timetable modules that are typically taken together to run on the same day (Mondays and Fridays).
All lectures are normally recorded to allow for remote attendance. However students are required to attend the University for any in-class assessments.
Welcome to flexible learning!! Governments employees are also able to take some modules as a one-week intensive remote course, subject to demand. All modules are available as assessed or non-assessed Continuing Professional Development course (CPD).

The full course fee includes 11 taught modules and a dissertation (as shown in the diagram above) 180 credits in total. Cost per credit in 2022/23 is £54.5. Part time students pay the credits that take each academic year.
Note that fees are quoted for the 2022/23 academic year. If you are studying a course that lasts longer than a year fees may increase each year.

The CPD one week intensive modules are worth 10 master level credits thus priced at £545 for 2022/23.
In 2022/23 we will offer 4 modules as one week intensive remote delivery mode. The module can be taken as part of the MSc programme or on its own. For more information please follow the links provided.
