MXE-MOD allows a user to explore the structural/functional effects of homologous exon switching in several species.

The website is available from: http://gene3d.biochem.ucl.ac.uk/mxemod/

1 ) From the Home-Page Click the Browse Button

2) This Results in a Table with all the homologous exon events. The table can be searched "*". To view the details of the event click the "Show" button "**"

3A) The structural alignment of the homologous exon switching can be viewed, comparing gold and blue side-chains.

3B) The table on the right side of the structure allows residues and functions to be selected and clicking on a row highlights the residues in the structure
