The Fair in the Forum brings together lots of teams and services from around the university and externally. We are pleased to welcome 26 different teams to share information and opportunities with our students.
Our team includes practitioners in Autistic Spectrum Conditions, dyslexia and specific learning difficulties, mental health, physical and sensory disabilities, and other long-term health conditions. We will work with you to develop an Inclusive Support Plan detailing the adjustments you need. We can help you to access funding to support your studies through Disabled Students’ Allowances if you are eligible.
We support students who may be experiencing non academic difficulties, impacting, their emotional wellbeing and ability to study. We provide support to students who may be in crisis, in distress, become victims of crime, harassment, or experienced any significant life event
We are here to support you at times of any emotional, psychological or mental health difficulties. We welcome students of any age, class, ethnicity, faith, belief, culture, disability, sexual orientation and gender identity. We offer up to six sessions of free and confidential counselling.
We have a University Independent Sexual Violence Adviser (ISVA) at Brookes who can provide emotional and practical support and advice to any student who has experienced sexual violence, recently or in the past.
All students at Oxford Brookes need to complete the sexual consent course on Moodle as part of induction. We recommend re-taking the course at the beginning of every academic year. The Consent team can provide further information about the course, and the range of support available for students.
We help foster positive relationships between students living in the community and local residents. We encourage students to engage with their neighbours and give advice on how to be considerate neighbours. We also employ part-time Student Community Wardens who are paid at a competitive rate. We look after the student experience of Moodle and can help you with using your academic modules, submitting work in Turnitin, accessing lecture recordings in Panopto, and joining online lectures in Zoom.
The Library has books, journals and other resources, both physical and electronic, as well as different types of study space that you can use. Library staff are available to help you find what you need to write your assignments, and will support you throughout your time at Brookes.
Becoming a Student Ambassador is a great way to earn money and gain a wide range of transferable skills and experiences. Becoming an Ambassador allows you to work on our large scale events such as open days and higher education fairs, enabling you to be part of prospective students’ journeys into higher education. We will be re-opening the Ambassador vacancy in September 2025, apply via our webpage.
We provide a range of support, including help with your CV (resumé), practice interviews, and other preparation for applying and getting a job. You may also want to enhance your experience at Oxford Brookes and add to your CV by working part-time or volunteering. Careers Jobshop and The Volunteer Centre provide opportunities to build your confidence, gain new skills and make a difference to your local community.

Meningitis is a serious, life threatening illness. Students are at increased risk of meningitis. Meningitis Research Foundation are here to answer your questions, give you important information about signs and symptoms, and talk to you about the vaccines that are available to protect you and the people around you.
The Brookes Medical Centre is based on the Headington Campus and is open during undergraduate term time. We are a branch site of St Bartholomew and Hollow Way Medical Practice, you can also access services from one of our other sites in and out of term time.You can register through the link below.
The Multifaith Chaplaincy offers spiritual and pastoral care for everyone, from any background, identity, faith, or worldview. We offer regular social events as well as events with a religious focus. We have Christian, Jewish, Muslim and Sikh chaplains available to anyone, and we can help you to find a faith community in Oxford.
SSCs provide dedicated support within each faculty and can help with any problem you may be encountering with your subject or course, offering a confidential and non-judgemental service with regular office hours. You will also meet your SSC’s as part of your induction week.

Brookes Music is home to the University choir and orchestra (OBUCCO), practice rooms, instrument hire and storage. We provide information on all music related activities in the University and around Oxford, as well as advise on instrumental and singing lessons.
