10th Grade Research

(Module 3)

Welcome 10th graders. You've done research projects small and large before. Here's your chance to show what you've learned. Remember:

  • You won't find the answer to your question in one source. You'll need to read extensively about lots of aspects of your topic and use YOUR BRAIN to synthesize an answer from all you've read.
  • Remember that it is OK-- even good-- to narrow and refine your research question as you learn more about your topic.
  • You need to cite your sources. Citing your sources shows that experts back you up. It makes your argument stronger, it makes your writing stronger, it makes your paper stronger. Just do it. Check here for help.
  • Ms. Morehouse is here to help you with any part of the research process:
    • Refining your research question
    • Finding and understanding sources
    • Structuring your paper
    • Giving feedback
    • Giving pep talks :)
