General Research
The Electronic Library of Minnesota holds the expensive (but free to you!) databases, search engines, and other resources you should be using for research. For this paper, try:
- Encyclopedia Britannica
- Make sure to use the ELM4You.org version-- versions you find through google will not let you read the full article unless you pay
- Student Resources in Context
- Make sure you use this one! This database holds credible videos, podcasts (radio), magazine and newspaper articles. There will definitely be helpful resources on your topic.
- Points of View Reference Center
- Depending on your topic, Points of View Reference Center might be very helpful. It gives an overview article, a point (one side of the issue), and a counterpoint (the other side of the issue).
Also try searching:
- News sites: National Public Radio, The Guardian, The New York Times, The BBC, The Economist, The Atlantic, Time, Newsweek
- Ted Talks
