About Us

The BCS Mission

The idea for BCS Sanctuary came to me several years ago as nothing short of a command from God. It started as an abrupt thought in the middle of my day, and grew to a constant weight, ever present in my mind. A passion slowly ignited in my heart that I never knew existed, revealing to me how experiences in my life lead me straight to this mission.

Women in our community are in need of our help in a big way. 1 in 4 women have experienced intimate partner violence. Many of these women will stay in the situation because they do not have anywhere safe to go. Our mission is to provide that safe place for as many women as we can.

I gathered together a dear group of friends who I knew were wise, creative, and strong in their faith. These ladies have been - and continue to be - an essential asset to our mission. I have no doubt we will see lives changed due to their love and dedication.

My prayer for you is that you will have the courage to be bold, the presence of mind to realize you are capable, and above all that you remain safe.

Board of Directors

 Sosha - President, Founder

Sosha_Pruden@brokenchainssanctuary.org

My name is Sosha. I am a devoted mother and wife. In addition to managing the BCS, I work a full time job in human resources, and remain active in my church.

My goal for this mission is to provide a safe haven for women. I have an especially soft heart for women with children in domestic violence situations. I want to provide a shelter that will not enhance the trauma of an already very difficult situation. A true sanctuary - free of shame, judgement, and guilt.
