During Enrichment sessions students will:
explore career pathway options
complete a CareerMatch online profile
have opportunities to discuss employment paths
build resumes and cover letters
enhance their communication skills
work through interview preparation (body language, eye contact, communication, skills and attributes etc)
Students are actively encouraged to use this opportunity to explore their dream job. While at school students have the chance to discover whether they are really suited to their ideas of what a job is- many times students will change their directions after they've had some experience.
Students are required to attend a work experience placement for 1 week in Term 3.
To be eligible to go out on work experience students must:
complete the General Safe@Work Certificate and have it signed by Mrs Pearson
complete an Industry Specific Safe@Work Certificate and have it signed by Mrs Pearson
complete a Covid-19 Infection Control Certificate
Complete DET Forms for Work Experience. These must be signed by the Employer, Parents, Student and the Principal.
Students and Parents will receive one on one course counselling sessions to discuss subject selection and pathway choices.
Staff are experienced and able to assist in this journey to guide students in the appropriate choices.
Staff will access VTAC to ensure students are selecting appropriate subjects for University courses
Students are encouraged to seek advice from the Careers Manager
