Hello, I’m Marissa Turner, parent of James (Yr 6) and Daniel (Yr 5). Many of you know me as Class Link, Cub Scout Leader, or the “traffic director” in the lower car park (hat, sunglasses, and always reminding you to turn right!).
As Parent Governor, I’ve valued hearing your ideas and concerns and worked to bring them forward on school safety, tuition, communication, and the exciting campus enhancements ahead. I’ve also helped select the Como Tuck shop and have been present representing families at every BSM campus and board meeting.
With 20+ years of experience in engineering and leadership, and service on professional boards, I bring practical skills and a collaborative spirit to this role. My focus: a safe, inclusive school, engaged parents, and smiling kids.
Together, we can keep BSM moving forward — I’d be grateful for your vote.
I’m Mifrah — mother of two beautiful girls (Year 7 and Year 4), wife to a loving husband, and a Telecommunications Engineer with over a decade of experience in corporate and enterprise environments. Born and raised in Pakistan, I later moved to Australia, where I built both my career and my family.
I’m passionate about solving problems, improving systems, creating positive impact and collaboration. I believe great things happen when people work together.
Beyond work, I’ve volunteered for causes close to my heart, including Meals on Wheels, digital literacy programs for the elderly and mentoring new immigrants through Engineers Without Borders. I am an active member of BSM Parents community and participated in the BSM Cultural fair, meeting with the architect and Y6 party arrangements.
Whether at home, at work, or in the community, I strive to make things better. I lead with empathy, act with purpose and always put my 100% to get things done.
Hello, I’m Debati, a Certified College Counselor from UCLA, US and co-founder of a college counseling firm. I am also a Chartered Accountant with prior experience at PwC, Timex, and Ooredoo. I have been a proud BSM parent for 14 years—Kabir (Year 12) and Alisha (Year 7).
For the past four years, I’ve had the privilege of serving as Parent Governor and member of the Finance and School Development Committees. In this role, I have provided valuable inputs to help restructure debt and ensure resources are allocated effectively to benefit students. One of my proudest moments was successfully advocating to limit the fee hike, easing the financial burden for parents.
With the school entering its next phase of development, I am committed to listening to parents and representing your ideas directly to leadership. Every parent deserves a strong voice at the table. My promise is to be your voice, always!
