Stuck Story Map.pdf

Story Map

Create a story map to chart the the story from beginning to end. Display it on an image of a tree. Start with the first image on the ground and then move up into the tree with each illustration box getting larger and larger. Finish the story map down at the bottom of the tree as the kite falls out. This type of story map could be added to a real tree!

Stuck adjectives.pdf

Adjectives

Choose an item for Floyd to throw in the tree and describe it using 3 adjectives. If your adjectives are suitable then you can colour it, cut it out and stick it in the tree.

Finally, think of a new item that Floyd could throw and describe it in 5 adjectives before drawing it in the tree.

Stuck speech.pdf

Speech marks and bubbles

Floyd is a man of action and few words. Add speech bubbles to images from the book to put words in his mouth. Use these speech bubbles to inform short sentences that can be added to the bottom of the illustrations.
