Curriculum Overview

Dear Parents,

What an exciting and memorable Block 4 we have had! Our wonderful trip to Diyatha Uyana gave the children invaluable learning experiences beyond the classroom. We also sincerely thank the parents who shared photos of their children planting the seeds they purchased—it was heartwarming to see the joy and excitement this brought, and the children gave such positive feedback about the experience.

We were thrilled to conclude the block with Book Week, when everyone looked fantastic dressed as their favourite book characters. It was a joyful celebration of reading and creativity, and we truly appreciated the effort put into the costumes.

As we now begin Block 5, we look forward to another exciting phase of learning, full of engaging lessons, new challenges, and opportunities for the children to continue growing in confidence and independence across the curriculum.

In response to parent feedback, we are pleased to announce that Year 2 will now have swimming every week from 16th March until the end of term.

We will carefully monitor pupil participation and engagement during this period to evaluate the impact and success of this approach.

Please note that, in order to accommodate the increased frequency, some classes will have a change to their usual swimming day. Further details will be shared directly with the relevant classes.
