Throughout this block, we will focus on developing the children’s early reading, communication, and mark-making skills while exploring nutrition, food choices, and healthy habits. Children will enjoy storytelling, songs and rhymes, and vocabulary-building activities that introduce new words in a fun and meaningful way. Hands-on experiences such as role-play, drawing, and mark-making will help children express their ideas and reinforce positive attitudes toward healthy eating.

In block 4, We will be focusing on the concept of size, weight and quantity. Reading stories about big and small and comparing heavier and lighter animals and their habitats will spark comprehensive discussion and encourage critical thinking related to these mathematical concepts. By exploring the animal world children will learn to count and categorize basic animal group.

Our primary focus in Block 4 will be exploring the animal kingdom. Children will engage in various activities to the diverse world of animals, such as participating in a safari animal hunt, dress up, puppet play, and many other interactive play sessions. We will investigate similarities and differences in relation to different creatures and we will demonstrate through discussions in class. These activities will help enhance the children's knowledge of the world around them.

In order to support the children's development of gross motor skills and coordination, we will provide opportunities for them to observe animals move and imitate them through story time, nursery rhymes, and songs. Activities and games that include pretending to be different animals will promote balance and flexibility while making their learning experience enjoyable. We will also continue to work on fine motor development by engaging in a range of activities, such as mark-making and playdough.

During Block 4, the children will have the opportunity to explore "The Animal Kingdom" through a range of exciting and engaging activities. We will focus on vocabulary development and expressive language skills as they learn the names of different animals, their characteristics, behaviours, and habits. Through exploration, we hope to encourage a love for the natural world and to spark the children's curiosity in relation to creatures. Our story, song, and rhyme sessions will also focus on discovering more about animals.
