Curriculum Overview

Dear Parents,

A very warm welcome to Year 5! We are excited to begin a new academic year filled with engaging learning opportunities and exciting challenges. Year 5 is an important stage where children continue to build on the strong foundations from Key Stage 2, while developing greater independence, responsibility, and confidence in their learning.

In Block 1, our focus will be on establishing strong routines, setting high expectations, and encouraging students to collaborate, think critically, and take pride in their progress.

We are looking forward to a fantastic term of learning. Year 5 is a time for children to challenge themselves, become more independent, and take on greater responsibility. With your continued support, we are confident that the children will thrive in Block 1 and beyond.

This block year 5A an 5C will have swimming and year 5B and 5D will have dance.
