Cardiac Screening

All athletes competing at the World Rowing Senior, U23 or U19 Championships need to have undergone pre-competition cardiac screening before entries are made for those events.  This involves a questionnaire and a physical examination including an ECG.  Athletes and coaches will receive more information from GBRT when screening is due to take place later in the season.

The questionnaire and examination need to be repeated annually, and the ECG needs to be repeated every three years up to the age of 23 and every five years thereafter.

More information can be found on the World Rowing website here.
