Venue & Logistics:
Location: Littlehaven Beach, South Shields, NE33 2LF
Parking: Paid Parking is available directly next to the beach.
Public Transport: South Shields Metro Station is a 17-minute walk from the venue.
Events & Eligibility:
This is an Open Entry event, though previous experience in Beach Sprint racing is recommended:
Senior Events: CW1x, CM1x - Open to all senior competitors.
U21 Events: U21CW1x, U21CM1x - Competitors must be born no earlier than 01/01/2006
Intermediate Events: INTCW1x, INTCM1x - Open to anyone who does not meet the following criteria :GBR Beach Sprint Senior vest; Medalled at Beach Sprint Worlds/Euros as an U19; or Won a medal at a Senior or U23 HIRBS event.
Entry Fee: £30 per event. Enter via BROE.
Entry Limit: Capped at 24 Women and 24 Men's entries. Those wishing to gain further experience of Coastal Sculling with a view to future participation can find out further information via the British Rowing Website.
Entry Deadline: Entries for this event will close on Thursday 5th May at 12:00 (Midday).
Racing Format:
Every competitor is guaranteed a minimum of one time trial and one side-by-side race.
Time Trial: All 24 boats compete to determine ranking for groups:
Group A: Rankings 1-8
Group B: Rankings 9-16
Group C: Rankings 17-24
Side-by-Side Racing for Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and Finals within each group.
Final Rankings: Determined via the finish placing in the side by side event. Times from the quarter finals will be used to determine the ranking of the losing quarter finalists within each group.

Medals & Points:
Medals will be awarded based on the final ranking from the side by side racing, with the highest ranked Senior, U21 and Intermediate competitors in the overall event receiving the respective medals for their category.
This event will form part of the Four Nations Coastal Sculling Series, and points will be awarded from the event contributing to the overall series.
Equipment:
Boats: All boats will be provided (Swift 1x)
Blades: Competitors should bring their own blades however some blades may be made available for hire.
