Shakespeare

Nursery

Children in the nursery spent three weeks learning about William Shakespeare's Midsummer's Night Dream and we loved every minute of it.  The children were very excited about the home corner turned into a fairy castle and played with the little fairy figures every day.

Our favourite fact about the Midsummer's Night Dream was that it is a play, so we get to become the characters, dress up just like the actors, and say the lines to act out our favourite scenes. We dressed up every day as the characters, wore Nick Bottom's donkey ears, Puck's fairy vest and the robes the Oberon and Titania. The children did many activities about fairies, and we loved reading other fairy stories as well when we got to create our own potions.
