Book week - The Word Collector by Peter H. Reynolds
During Book Week, we took a good look at The Word Collector by Peter H. Reynolds. This book inspired art, drama and writing!
We became word collectors like Jerome and created our own poems using words that we collected from newspapers and magazines. We chose words that stood out to us and also challenged ourselves to choose words that belonged to different categories e.g. nouns, adverbs and adjectives.

We also created Blackout Poetry, again focussing on words that stood out to us.
Through Drama, we explored the meanings of words and explored how they can be expressed without words. Our partners had to guess which word we were expressing. Can you guess them correctly?
