An amateur production of The Unreturning by arrangement with Nick Hern Books.
By Anna Jordan
Scarborough, a northern British coastal town. When young people return from war and trauma, what has changed? Is anything the same?
Three stories, set at different times over a hundred years, are interwoven to explore the profound effect that war has on young people's lives, and asks – what does coming home really mean? What is home? And where, as a country, are we headed, if we cannot learn from the lessons of the past?

Childhood fears
And fraught journeys of adulthood
Erased as the North Bay envelopes me.
In the dark and the calm - alone.
I am home.'
