Hello!! My name is Kyle Whetstine but you can call me MR. W! I graduated from Pennsbury High School in 2005. After High School, I attended Holy Family University for my Bachelors of Education as well as for my Masters in Elementary Education.
I started my career as a Sixth grade teacher here in Bristol Township at Lafayette Elementary. Since then, I have taught Fourth grade for eight ten now at James Buchanan and now Brookwood Elementary!
While at Brookwood, I have been involved in numerous school programs. I am currently the Tiger Team Captain, which is dedicated to promoting our SWPBIS code of conduct as well as raising money for our school. This program takes teacher-selected 5th grade students, and helps create a positive school environment, fosters creativity, and teaches responsibility for our team members. In addition, I have also became PLTW (Project Lead the Way) Lead Teacher certified. Bristol Township is slowly integrating PLTW into the science curriculum, which promotes STEAM and PBL learning.
When I am not in school, I am at home with my wife, Krystina, and my four children, Karter, Vivian, Reese and JT. I have been a Little League Coach and Travel Ball Coach for 7 years now and enjoy every second of it! When I have free time, I enjoy reading and working on projects around the house.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your child's life. It is a pleasure and honor to be their fourth grade teacher, something I don't take lightly. If at any point this year, I haven't covered your question in this site, please email me kyle.whetstine@bristoltwpsd.org or call me 267-599-2400. Thank you for visiting the site and take care. Here's to a fun-filled year in fourth grade! :)
Best Wishes,
Kyle Whetstine
