In case you were wondering, that is Bristol to the left and the SS Great Britain (one of Bristol's great icons) to the right. The SS Great Britain was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, who also designed Clifton Suspension Bridge, the Great Western Railway and numerous other projects and was one of the greats of the 19th Century Industrial Revolution. Brunel has been ranked second only to Winston Churchill among great Britons, and Bristol's establishment as a fabulous and vibrant city owes much to Brunel.
