Wiggles & Wellness

Wiggles & Wellness Preschool Children's program is an opportunity for children enrolled in 3 Bristol School Readiness Council (SRC) programs. This program was funded by the United Way of West Central CT (now the United Way of Central and Northeastern CT) . It impacts approximately 250 children, ages 3 and 4 years. Once per school year, Bristol FRC staff visit Bristol Child Development Centers (BCDC) and the Imagine Nation Early Learning Center providing an in-person literacy-themed presentation including a wellness based theme, music and movement, and a story for each preschool classroom. Students participating receive a brand new book of their own to keep. In addition, a resource letter goes home to parents encouraging them to read to their children and sharing FREE Literacy support and healthy living resources in the community. Children are encouraged to go home and "read" the special book they choose to someone they love!
